MANNA literaly means "what is it?" God provided bread from heaven to meet the needs of His people. He not only used this bread to provide for physical needs, but also to teach them obedience(Ex. 16:4). In obeying God's instructions the Israelites learned to trust and depend on God. At the end of this time God led His people into the promised land"flowing with milk and honey." God also provided us Jesus, who described himself as "the true bread from heaven" Jn 6:32). Our prayer for Iva First Wesleyan Church is that when God speaks and we ask "what is it?" our hearts will totally be bowed in obedience that we might enter the promised land He has for us.
